Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 29, 2026
Short version: Searchlab doesn't require an account, doesn't sell data, and stores as little as possible. Read on for the specifics.
1. What we collect
When you use a tool, we receive the URL you submit and basic request information (your IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp). We use this only to run the tool and prevent abuse.
2. What we store
- Cache of tool results (typically 1-24 hours) keyed by the URL you submitted, so repeat checks are faster and we conserve API quota.
- Aggregate analytics (page views, tool usage counts) — never tied to individual users.
- OAuth tokens if you choose to connect Google Search Console. Stored encrypted, used only to fetch the data you requested. You can disconnect at any time.
3. What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
- We do not build personal profiles or track you across websites.
- We do not require an account to use the public tools.
4. Cookies
We use minimal cookies — a session cookie for OAuth flows and an optional analytics cookie. You can block cookies in your browser without breaking the public tools.
5. Third-party services
Some tools call third-party APIs (Google PageSpeed Insights, WhoisXMLAPI, Google Search Console). When they do, the URL or domain you submitted is sent to that provider. Their privacy policies govern their handling of that data.
6. Your rights
You can email hello@searchlab.in to request deletion of any data we hold about you, including OAuth tokens.
7. Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Substantial changes will be announced on the homepage.
